Oilexco’s Board of Directors are committed to guiding the Company and maximizing shareholder wealth. The seven Directors, four of which are outside Directors, seek to meet or exceed the increased scrutiny that shareholders and regulatory bodies demand from publicly traded companies in today’s business environment.
Mrs. Cannon has over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry covering senior roles within both investment banking and UK quoted independents. She has been a Senior Advisor to Morgan Stanley's investment banking energy team in London since January 2000. At Morgan Stanley her focus has been insternational upstream mergers and aquisitions where she has advised oil and gas companies with operations in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Mrs. Cannon holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Hounours from Glasgow University.
Retired corporate finance executive from January 2003; prior thereto Vice President Corporate Finance, Canaccord Capital Inc. Vancouver, BC from 1998 to 2003. Mr. Grant has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta.
Mr. Burke has over 25 years experience in the natural resources and oil sectors, both in corporate finance and as a co-founder and executive chairman of two listed companies, Vanguard Petroleum Ltd and Dana Petroleum Ltd. Prior to that he worked in M&A and venture capital and has a Sloan Fellowship from the London Business School.
President of Xtivity Inc., a private company offering maintenance inventory optimization services over the web to operations of the manufacturing sector, since 2004; President of MRO Direct Ltd., a private company, from 2002 to 2004; Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Torque Energy Limited, a public oil and gas company, from 2001 to 2002. VP of CanEnerco Limited, private company from 1995 to 2001. Mr. Cowan has 30 years experience in numerous geological basins in Canada and the United States, with a dedicated interest in the Michigan Basin of northwestern Ontario.

Mr. Millholland has been a professional geologist for 24 years. He has worked in a variety of regions including the UK North Sea, Canada, the Gulf of Mexico, the United States, South America, and West and North Africa. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA), and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo where he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth Science.
Chief Financial Officer of Oilexco since July 1999. Mr. Ward has worked in the finance in industry for 22 years, specializing in research for the oil and gas industry prior to joining Oilexco. Mr. Ward holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Calgary.
Mr. Smith was a Partner at the Calgary law firm McCarthy Tetrault until joining Oilexco in 2007 as Exeuctive Vice President & General Counsel. He served as acting chief executive officer of the Alberta Securities Commission and chaired the Alberta Securities Commission, Securities Advisory Committee from its inception for 10 years. Mr. Smith is a director and senior officer of several public and private companies. In January 2000, he was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in recognition of his community activities.
