Oilexco and its partner announced the Kildare discovery in March 2007.

We were awarded a 50% interest in the Kildare property (Block 15/26b) in the 23rd Licensing Round. A previous operator drilled this prospect in 1988 when the well flow tested 2,650 bbls/d of oil and 3.5 MMcf/d of gas.

Oilexco drilled to a total depth of 14,092 and encountered a total of 91 feet of net pay from a gross section of 132 feet from the Upper Jurassic sand. A drill stem test flowed 4,216 bbls/d of oil and 3.1 MMcf/d of gas through a 64/64 inch choke.  The Upper Jurassic sand discovery is in addition to the original discovery in the Ettrick sands in 1988.

Oilexco and its partner plan to return to Kildare in 2008 to drill additional appraisal wells to determine the size of the Upper Jurassic sand oil accumulation.
