We have a large portfolio of desirable exploration properties, and at Oilexco we do a lot of drilling. From 2004 to 2007 we were listed as the most active driller of exploration and appraisal wells in the UK North Sea. In the short time since beginning exploration here, we have gained a reputation for drilling quickly and efficiently, with a good degree of success. Our exploration team is comprised of highly experienced professionals who have a thorough understanding of the North Sea basins.

Oilexco has been an active participant in the DTI’s licensing rounds since being awarded our first license in 2002. In February 2007, the DTI awarded us additional properties for blocks that we think show good potential. We plan to continue to add to our exploration properties by participating in future bidding rounds and by negotiating successful farm-in opportunities.
